Nayeli Alvarado founded Semilla in 2021, a non-profit committed to ensuring no child is denied the opportunity to thrive and reach their dream of becoming what they desire. The story behind Semilla began when Nayeli was introduced to the poverty that exists in Ensenada Mexico in 2018. Witnessing the living conditions, challenges, and limitations that prevent young children and teenagers the opportunity to have an education, broke her heart and ignited a fire within to fight for the children.

We can only do this work through the generosity of people like you! We are 100% percent dependent on donations. We provide educational scholarships to the children who would otherwise be forced to drop out or not have the opportunity to attend school.
Help us remove children from the labor intensive, strenuous work in the fields.

The basis of the organization is to find sponsors who will commit to contributing to a child's education. The costs begin as early as first grade and all the way through University. The goal is to support the children every step of the way. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty.
